All entries must be in the office of the Secretary on or before May 31st

* Sheep must be on the grounds and penned by 11:00AM. 

* Exhibits to remain on fairgrounds until 4:30PM.

 

Note: Exhibitors may only exhibit in any two classes.  Also the fair authorizes one entry per section.

 

Prize Money for Classes 01 - 04, 06

1st $35, 2nd $25, 3rd $23, 4th $20, 5th $15, 6th $13, 7th $10

The following breeds must be show in short fleece:

  • Cheviots

  • Dorset

  • Hampshire

  • Oxford Down

  • Shropshire

  • Southdown

  • Suffolk
    * All other breeds may be shown in short or full fleece.

CLASS 11 - Suffolk

CLASS 12 - Leicester

CLASS 13 - North Country Cheviot

CLASS 14 - Lincoln

CLASS 16 - Dorset

CLASS 17 - All other breeds

(Classes not having at least two exhibitors will be shown in CLASS 17)

 

An exhibitor may enter and show two breeds of sheep from one household.  An exhibitor may enter two animals per section in a maximum of two sections 1 - 4.

 

01. Ewe - "Yearling" (Third pair of temporary incisors must be in place).  Born and bred in Canada.


02. Ewe - (First pair of temporary incisors must be in place). Born the property of the exhibitor.


03. Ram - "Yearling" (Third pair of temporary incisor must be in place).


04. Ram - (First pair of temporary incisors must be in place). Born the property of the exhibitor.


05. Get of Sire - Born the property of the exhibitor.  A group of three animals, full mouth milk teeth, by the same sire.  Both sexes may be represented.


06. Breeders Flock - (bred and owned by the exhibitors).  A group of four (4) animals.  Both sexes to be represented.  Each animal in the group must have been exhibited in one of the preceding classes.  All animals in a group to be of one breed.
