The Brooklin Agricultural Society is a Not for Profit volunteer organization which operates and organizes the annual Brooklin Spring Fair. The Brooklin Spring Fair celebrated its 100th Anniversary in June 2011.

The Fair has a Volunteer Board of 24 Directors that plan upcoming Fairs along with hundreds of community volunteers who donate their time in May and June. The Brooklin Spring Fair continues from one year to the next, because of the success of the previous years Fair.

The Fair supports many organizations in the community such as; the Order of Oddfellows Lodge in Brooklin, The Optimist Club, Brooklin Community Centre & Library, Various Scouts Groups (Brooklin & Oshawa),  and the Rotary Club.

The Brooklin Agricultural Society is a proud member of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS). The OAAS (www.ontariofairs.com) is a unifying body for 230 Agricultural Societies in Ontario and is our liaison to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFA).

General Fair Rules and Regulations

  1. Only membership holders or pass holders get free admission to the grounds.
  2. All exhibits must be bonafide property of the
  3. All stock must be securely tied and cattle must be shown on
  4. No animal or article deemed unworthy shall be allowed a premium. No premium shall be withheld merely because there is no competition but the judges shall ward the grade of premium according to the merit of animal or article

  6. Protests, if any, must be made in writing, signed and filed with the secretary,together with a deposit of $25.00 on the day of the Deposit will be forfeited if protest is sustained.

  9. Admission to the grounds: Weekend Pass (single) $30.00, Adults, Seniors, Students $12.00, Children 5-12yrs $5.00, Children under 5 years free. (prices include applicable tax)
  1. This Society has always paid prize money in full. If at any time receipts are insufficient to cover the full amount, the Society reserves the right to pay on a percentage basis according to the amount in the treasurer’s hands within 30 days.

All exhibits shall be under the control and direction of the Society but solely at the risk of the The Society will not be responsible for damage, injury, loss, or theft, of any exhibit, regardless of the cause of such damage, injury, or theft. Each exhibitor will be solely responsible for any article and shall indemnify the Society against all legal or other proceedings in regard thereto.
