NOTE: The Education Day program last ran in 2019 due to COVID and School Board scheduled PA Days. The information provided below is archival based on the last time the program ran. The Brooklin Agricultural Society hopes to see the program return in future years.
By INVITATION ONLY.
On Friday May 31st, 2019 the Brooklin Spring Fair invites you to join us for our Annual Education Day!
Brooklin Spring Fair’s Education Day is an excellent opportunity for Gr. 3 students to discover how agriculture impacts their daily lives though learning about agricultural commodities, as well as having the opportunity to participate in agriculture themed hands-on activities.
Please come and celebrate “Show Us Your Dairy-Eh!” with us this year! As part of our Education Day program your class is invited to come discover the amazing agricultural community that exists within Durham Region. Students will learn about various farm animals, equipment and the wonderful diversity of agriculture, while also having the opportunity to meet and dialogue with local farmers. The students will learn about current farming practices, have the opportunity to see live milking, showing demonstrations, and participate in hands-on agricultural activities.
Our Education Day program is designed to reinforce the Gr. 3 curriculum and allow students the opportunity to apply their learning to real life situations.

Please refrain from registering your class to our event if you have already registered for Durham Farm Connections. Our events are very similar and we are hoping to expose as many different students to agricultural education as possible this year.
