Join us all weekend at the “Outdoor Stage” for a refreshing beverage and to sit down and enjoy some live music inside of our licensed area.

The Outdoor Stage located in the South end of the grounds near the track. It’s the best place to meet up with old friends, take a load off, and relax out of the Sun.

There are multiple musical acts to choose from from upbeat country music in the evening to live acoustic entertainment in the afternoons for the whole family!

Birds of Prey

Each year the Brooklin Agricultural Society welcomes the Canadian Raptor Conservatory to come and provide education about the many ‘Birds of Prey” that reside in our great country!

Education and Entertainment combined at each of their shows over the weekend (and an added bonus of control over less desire birds such as seagulls!).

RULES:

Age Groups and Teams
1. Age Groups: Gr. 2/3 Gr. 4/5 Gr/67
2. Team Size: 4 players per team, including goalie
Equipment
1. Mini Sticks: Mini Sticks will be provided by Brooklin Spring Fair (typically around 30-40 inches) - do not bring your own.
2. Balls: A soft, lightweight ball will be used.
3. Protective Gear: It is mandatory that all participants wear a CSA approved helmet. Other protective gear like mouth guards and gloves are recommended but not required.
Game Duration
1. Games will be 10 minutes in length consisting of two four-minute halves and a 2 min intermission between halves.
Game Format
1. Scoring: Each goal counts as 1 point.
2. Game Starts/Faceoffs: Each game starts with a center ice face-off N-H-L faceoff. All other faceoffs will be NHL style at the location of the stoppage. Faceoff following intermission will be at center ice.
3. Positional Play: Everyone is to play all positions (forward, defense) and avoid cherry-picking (hanging around the opponent’s goal).
Rules of Play
1. No Slapshots: For safety, no slapshots are allowed. Only wrist shots and soft shots are allowed.
2. No Body Checking: Mini sticks are non-contact, so body checking is not allowed.
3. Stick Handling: Stick handling should be kept at a safe, controlled level. High-sticking (above waist height) will be penalized.
4. When a ball goes out of play, the team who did not play the ball last will be given possession.
5. Time stalling will not be permitted. Stalling is called at the discretion of the official. Doing so shall result in a penalty shot for the other team.
6. No sitting on or closing your hand on the ball. If done so, possession is granted to the other team.
7. Offside: No offside rules will be enforced.
Penalties
1. Penalties: High sticking, tripping, or interference (like tripping the goalie or holding the stick) unsportsmanlike conduct e.g., taunting, arguing with referees, time stalling will not be tolerated.
2. Teams will be penalized as follows:
  1. 1st Offence -‐ Penalty Shot
  2. 2nd Offence – 2-minute Penalty (player must leave playing surface)
  3. 3rd Offence – Player ejected from game. Team to play shorthanded for remainder of game.
  4. 4th Offence – Player will be ejected from the tournament and team must play shorthand the remainder of the tournament.
3. Penalty shots are taken immediately after an infraction occurs. The ball is placed at center court and is dead after the shot is taken. Possession will then be given to the defending team, regardless of the outcome of the shot. After the shot, the ball is live ONLY to the defending team. Any player can take penalty shots for a team.
Goalkeeper Rules
1. Goalie Play: Goalies are allowed to use their sticks to block or pass the puck, but no covering the ball/puck for an extended period. A goal can only be scored when the ball is in play.
2. Goalies are not allowed to remain stationary/lie down in their net. Penalty will be awarded to opposing team if a goalie does not stay upright.
3. Goalie equipment is not permitted.
Fair Play
1. Respect: Sportsmanship is key. Players should respect each other, the referees, and the rules of the game. Shake hands after each game.
2. No Taunting or Bullying: Encourage kids to cheer for their team in a positive way. Unsportsmanlike behavior will be penalized.
Tournament Structure
1. Round Robin: Each team plays against every other team. After the round robin, the top teams move on to the finals the bottom teams will play the consolation game.
2. Tie Breakers: If a game is tied at the end of regulation, a shootout will occur (each team selects a player to take a shot, and the team with more goals wins)

We are looking for 12 adults who LOVE pie! Not like, "Gee, I like pie" people, but people who live, breath, sleep and most importantly EAT pie! If this sounds like you, register ahead of time as space will be limited. Spectators welcome to come out the day of to cheer on the pie aficionados.

Adult Pie Eating Contest Rules:

1. First person to finish their pie wins, Top 3 receive ribbons
2. You can leave juice but NO chunks
3. NO hands
4. No touching the other competitors
5. If anything comes up, you’re disqualified
6. Minimum age 16 (if you are under 18 a parent must also sign your hold harmless on site)
7. All participants must sign a Hold Harmless in order to compete

Kids Pie Dive

You've watched adults have fun with pie for years and now its your turn! Dive into whipped cream to find the treats buried inside to beat the clock and your competitors! We are looking for 12 kids who love a laugh and don't mind getting messy (don't worry mum and dad, it isn't too messy!) If this sounds like you, register ahead of time as space will be limited.

Spectators welcome to come out the day of to cheer on the pie divers.

Kids Pie Dive Competition Rules:

1. Must be 5-12 years of age to enter.
2. Parent and/or guardian must sign Hold Harmless on site.
3. Timed event.
4. Competitor who can transfer the most candy with minimal whip cream wins.

Rules:

The individual must be able to pedal the tractor without assistance.
Pedal tractors whether supplied or brought by the participant must be in proper repair and are subject to inspection. No modifications such as changes to driveline components will be eligible to pull.
No motorized tractors (fuel driven or electric/ battery powered) will be eligible to pull.
Pedal tractors must be metal/ diecast.
All contestants must be wearing proper footwear and in proper form.
All contestants will be given 3 chances to get the sled moving once the sled is past 5 feet no restarts will be permitted.
The pulling tractor must stay in its pulling lane.
Should the competitor leave the pulling lane the distance will be measured from beginning to where the first tire crossed the line.
In the case of a tie there will be a pull off to determine the winner.
Both genders age 4-12 are eligible to enter.
The judge's decision will be final for all pulls.
All contestants must be present by the time of the pedal pull with a completed Hold Harmless stating Brooklin Agricultural Society will not be accountable for financial loss or hardship due to accidental injury.
Participation will be granted on a first come first served basis and could be limited.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Brooklin Agricultural Society reserves the right to disqualify any individual for behavioural misconduct or parental dispute

Prizes: $10 for first place in each class.

The Brooklin Spring Fair Committee is proud to be organizing this year’s parade celebrating the 114th Anniversary of the Brooklin Spring Fair.

Last Fair, along with all the parade participants we created another exciting and memorable parade.

The Brooklin Spring Fair has many traditions and the parade is definitely one of the highlights. Many volunteer hours go into the planning and preparation of the parade to ensure that it continues to grow and reflect the many long standing traditions established over the years.

Keeping this in mind, we would like to invite you or your group to be a part of this year’s parade. You may consider entering a decorated float from a group to walk the route, dress up or provide your idea to us– we simply ask that you participate! The theme “Let’s Go Hog Wild” is sure to be a hit with all ages. We anticipate many creative and FUN ideas to be reflected in this year’s community parade

Space is limited. To ensure your participation, please submit your application by June 4, 2025. Priority will be given to those submissions received prior to the deadline. Please complete the application form and email it to: mcgrorey25@rogers.com.

The fee structure for participation in the 2025 Brooklin Spring Fair Parade is:

Please note that for 2025, the parade route turns east at Cassels Road East. Due to the speed bumps along Cassels Road we advise parade entrants to ensure that parade participants riding on floats or trailers or vehicles please remain seated throughout the entire parade but please be especially cautious while the parade travels along the Cassels Road portion of the route.

The Brooklin Spring Fair will host a day of the live-action packed sport of rodeo, as seen at the Calgary Stampede and will include events such as: bareback and saddlebronc riding, barrel racing, pole bending and the world’s most dangerous sport- bull riding!
